A frequency curiosty..

Hey guys, maybe any of you can explain me this..
Why if i cut frequencies over 16Hz it sounds louder than before if i am supposed to be cutting part of the sound?
Ok, here is what i do..
In Wavelab i see with the Pad Analyzer that there are freq over 16Hz, so i open Q vst and cut over that. I see with the P.Analyzer how it stop giving freq over those 16 hz, but i dunno why.. in the leveler i got higher sound

I have thought that maybe i should cut that freq and after that master it.. but i dont get the same sound.

Cheers.

it's my understanding that the high frequencies don't actually get louder.. you can just hear them better when you cut out the ones you can't hear..

but i'm sure Dj Thy or anyone else with a degree in the field can answer better than me..

Maybe i didnt explain it correctly.. i dont listen it loud, i see that the leveler gets high points. I have my track mastered and never go over 0 db with all the freqs. But when i put the Q vst cutting over 16 Hz i can see how the sounds grow and the leveler marks 0.6..1.2..if i put on the Bypass mode it gets normal again, never over 0 db but when i put the Bypass mode off again i get points over 0 db and clips.

i think u mean 16Khz and it's normal to see clipping(in some cases) coz if u cut 16khz u'll boost the lower frequencies!
maybe i'm wrong, waiting for Dj Thy and the others
