Europa - Blue Orchard 128kbps (Trance)

Hi,

After messing around off and on for the past month or so, I've come up with my first trance tune and I was hoping to get some honest feedback on it. I've included a link to it below. There's some things I think could be improved in it.. but I've listened to the damn thing so many times, that I really need other opinions.

Artist - Europa
Title - Blue Orchard
Run Time - 7:20
Quality - 128kbps

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/europamusic.htm

Thanks

30 views and no feedback? Somebody has had to have listened to the track at least once. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks

You have some nice synths and ideas but that is by far the WORST kick drum I have ever heard in my entire life. It makes the track completely unlistenable for me. Try replacing it and reuploading.

First, You need some serious compression on that kick drum... way too hollow sounding.

Second biggest problem to the kick drum, you need a basline that it not continuous. It needs to hit when your kick does not:
Like this
kick.bass.kick.bass.kick.bass.kick.bass
It will sound continuous if you increase the attack on the bass, but it will hit much louder.

You have one sound that stays throughout the whole song. Find a way to alternate it, as it gets repetitive.

Try using a filter to fade your synths in and out, so i doesn't just cut.

Your lead synth kicks ass though, good melody.

Keep up thhe hard work.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. You guys were right on the kick drum. I've uploaded a new version with what hopefully is a better kick. Problem is, I'm working with $10 headphones and some really lousy computer speakers so it is difficult to tell what works with the drums. Please let me know if the new kick works OK.

State of Matter - I hope the tune is reviewable now. I look forward to your thoughts.

Diggabyte - I'm going to see if I can implement your suggestions in a new version of the song that I'll upload after I work with it a little bit.

Perry - I'll upload the new version on something else other than soundclick. I didn't realize you had to sign up to listen to the mp3's. Is there any place you could suggest?
