Smiley DJ Idea's on mixer purchase

hey there peoples, after waaaaaaay too much time thinking about it, i'm finally gonna buy a pair of decks and a mixer. should have been done ages ago, but hey....what u gonna do. anyways just curious as to the type of mixer i should get. i'm only starting out ATM, i do have some skill with the decks, took a DMC course many years ago, and have been using friends ones for a while.

i just want a basic mixer, probably 2 channel one. don't need a BPM counter or any fancy shit, but i would like to be able to fuck with the beats on the mixer a little. i mainly will be mixing trance and progressivre tracks, i say this cause i know there a different types of mixers for different styles of music. my friend has a Vestax one, can't remember the model, but it's not a bad one, only prob is that it's a scratching mixer with has it's downfalls when it comes to mixing trance. any idea's/comments would be greatly appreciated. thx

whats your budget dude?

djm 300 is a pretty decent 2 chan mixer with a decent price tag
with the effects and stuff your best off going for a 4 channel monster.... the djm600 is perfect for what you want, maybe a little excessive but its well worth the money

the allen n heath range are alot better but their pricetags may provoke you to sell some organs.

hehe, budget is not that great, i've used (and abused) the DJM600, a friend has it and i learned on it at DMC, it's a great mixer, but out of my price range. budget will sit between $600-$900. not wanting to go over $1000 seeing that i'm gonna be using it in my bedroom for the moment. thx thou

go with the djm300, best sound and most reliable/durable crossfader for the money you want to spend

anything with smooth faders, 2 chans decent sound coming will do.
i'd spend the money on your record collection. that's a far more important facet.

hi minchia

as already mension pioneer djm 300 will do for starters,
and when you have enough money upgrade to a pioneer djm 600.
or If you want to go for the ultimate mixer later - A&H XONE 92.

thanx for the info peoples, sorta considering the djm300, once again will depend on the money i have at the time and i will definantly want to be spending more money and time on the record collection. whats' the point of having a killer setup and not a single decent record to spin on it. ...unless i grab my dad's vinyl copy of the godfather soundtrack and rip that up. hmmm, maybe i should just save my mooola. thx again peoples.
