What do you think about the Vivanco SR900 headphones?

Can you please tell me your opinions about the Vivanco SR900 headphones?

I'm not going to buy headphones any time soon but I just want to hear what people think about these headphones.

Thanks in advance

i've never heard of them, and judging by the fact that i can't find any specifications for them, and amazon sell them, for DJing use at least they will probably be crap.

how much will you be looking to spend when you buy headphones?

have a look in the headphones thread. the favorites of this forum seem to be the sennheiser hd280, pioneer hdj1000 (but they break apparently), and the new sony 7506.

my personal preference is the sennheisers, but i havent tried the new sonys.

Thats your budget and you want some no name brand?

Ok, here you go...

Sennheisers HD-280 are probably the best headphones on the market for what they are worth. The noise cancellation is very good and the sound is very punchy and clear. I own a pair. I believe J00F uses the HD-25.

Pioneers are also awesome, but I heard too many stories about them breaking. Sound wise, they are probably tops. Most people buy these simply because they look cool, sometimes you need to look past this and think long term.

Sonys, please save your money - If you wanna buy these, just give me the $129 because you will be throwing money away. Sound is ok, quality is utter crap. Some people have Sony's for a while and dont have a problem, but it doesnt happen very often.

Technics RP-1200, I heard good things about them - I dont have any personal experience with them, but they seem good since quite a few DJs use them - I think Ive seen Tiesto, Armin & Ferry with a pair. My only problem is the ear cup hindge, it looks flimsy and doesnt look like it will last.

I dont know anything about the Stantons, but from the looks of them, I like the style... simple and no flimsy ear cups - swivel cups are just asking to break.

-----------

Thats alittle something I typed up in another forum.

I have had mine for three years now. Use them for both DJing and with my portable mp3 player. No problem with the hinge. I am really happy with them but there are two things to keep in mind. They do not have giant ear pieces that go around your ear, instead it sits on top of it (supra-aural); still gets great sound isolation but just something that is different from some of the other cans. The ear pieces do not flip completely around like the sony 700s, they still flip enough to do one-ear-should monitoring (I usually use them one ear on one off and the hinges work great to sewivel one behind your ear while keeping the band straight over your head).

The best bet it to try and go to a store that has different headphones for you to try.

i think it depends on what sony's you get. by what i have heard, if it aint the 7560s then they will break as you say.

if freak hasn't broken them yet, they must be good
