Russkies don't f**k around making missles. they have an anti-ship missle the SS-20 that we can't defend ourselves from. our Phalanx or CIWS can't touch it. the Chinese have bought quite a few.

Pure political posturing. The missile sheild was designed to defend the US from rogue nations not Russia. You would need a whole shitload of lasers, ABM missiles, and some rediculous coordinated targeting system to shoot down the thousands of MIRVed ICBMs if Russia launched its arsenal. Pootypoot is just stirring up some Russian patriotism.

No what you don't understand is that the missle shield would not defend you form this missle they are developing...missle > shield
Nicknamed "Mosquito". Sunburn class missile. It has 100 mile range travelling at mach two. With current technology, impossible to intercept. Even impossible to detect until right before the impact. Can be launched from either assault boats or mobile launchers.
Five of these at most, and say bye-bye to any aircraft carrier.
Oh, forgot to mention, you can put nuclear charge inside. One of these and there goes an average sized fleet.
