They're also the same people that sold the spectrum space alloted to them by the US government for the development of HDTV to cable companies. You know how cable jumped from less than about 100 channels to about 400 channels of complete crap, yeah thats when it happened.

Seriously, the FCC needs to back off of all this censorship on TV and everywhere else. If you don't want your kids watching this, then DON'T LET THEM WATCH IT. If you don't wanna see something, CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Yes, it actually is that simple.

Cable and satellite are not regulated by the FCC, hence they can show whatever violence, sex and foul language that they want to.
Most of Family Guy aired under Clinton's FCC, however Bush's FCC had left them alone until recently.
...remember...people only speak up when they want to complain. What a novel thought when it comes to places like this board. All the complaining and flaming in certain places....but when you don't object to an action, or infact would like to compliment it, people don't respond or feel the need to comment. That's why 99% of comment cards sent in to companies are complaints. Then there may be a perceived problem. Now granted, their may be some things that need a fixin...but there certainly seems to be a an over-reaction by the mean 'ol FCC, but if 500 complaints are sent in, it would probably be partially offset if 500 people could voice that "they didn't mind" said event.
Also, the media should take about half the blame by playing the story over and over and over for 3 weeks straight to make something that may have been inappropriate for the 10 year olds watching football, but not worthy of Tom Brokaw saying for a week straight "OMG @ 4LL t3H SeXXORZZZ!!!"
Don't fret though...the media gets to cover the Ron Artest for the next week or so...whoopdie freakin' do

Are they still under contract with Fox? If not, fuck 'em. Air the new ones on Cartoon Network or something. Adult Swim rocks.
