I dunno whether this has been covered before or not,i tried searching but couldn't find anything productive.. but i'm wondering do any of you sit while playing your decks? Let's say you were going at it for over 3 hours or so?
I haven't started yet, i will be this week when my decks arrive but well i can't see myself sitting however if i was going at it for bloody AGES then i might see my back getting a little tired lol

I always stand, can't stand sitting, be sure when you set your gear up that its at a decent height, I can't stress this enough, if its to low you will be slightly hunched which is very uncomfortable and bad for your back, I had it like this once and couldn't mix past an hour before feeling like shit, so I made something for my desk and had it raised up about 5 inchs, now I can stand upright and can mix for hours without a problem.

I can only mix dancing, so I can't even think of sitting down while mixing!

DannyO pretty much said whatever I would say.
Having the tables at the proper hieght is something to not over look. I can stand for age when spinning aslong as the decks are at the proper hieght, I have sat down before and I just can not get into the flow of it..

you can get the crowd goin' so much more if you dance (IMO). If the crowd feels you, it's already a start
And I'm not a tiesto fan btw :P

Cool cheers for the input lads.. Didn't really think too much about the table's height. But i'll consider it now.
This is killing me though, i've paid for my decks but just have to wait for them to arrive.
And to make matters worse, my dad has an LP player in the living room so i've been able to listen to all of my 12 vinyls! lol but haven't been able to play them on my lovely decks i bought!
nelly
Soon though, soon..

This is exactly why I got a table with adjustable legs
You gotta stand. Sitting makes it seem like you're not interested. I would suggest the act of sitting is 180 degrees from where you want this whole thing to end up.
Also the table height can be a factor. There was a time when my table was too low and I could only play for about 1 1/2 hours (my back would get sore). But now I can play for much longer with the higher table.
