2 Live Crew [Miami, U.S.A.] Live
& their XXX-Rated Dancers
Chinaman Records / Lil’ Joe Records
No rap group has stirred more controversy or provoked more heated debate than 2 Live Crew. The furor over the graphic sexual content of their X-rated party rhymes -- specifically their 1989 gold-selling album As Nasty as They Wanna Be -- was a major catalyst in making rap music a flash point for controversy. The 2 Live Crew were fairly popular even before all the uproar and benefited greatly from all the publicity. However, to focus only on the controversy ignores 2 Live Crew's musical contributions. They were responsible for popularizing the booming, hard-driving sound of Miami bass music, and they were the founding fathers of a populist, dance-oriented rap subgenre that relied on simple, explicit chants and up-tempo rump-shaking grooves, appropriately dubbed "booty rap." Nightmare is proud to have these rap legends perform live, complete with their XXX-rated dancers, dirty, explicit rhymes, and full on energy to get everyone in the proper mood for some “Tainted Love” this Valentines Day!!

Mickey Finn [London, U.K.] Jungle/ Drum n Bass
Urban Takeover
Beginning his dj’ng career in the late eighties in South London, with the emerging acid house movement. In the early nineties breakbeat and “loose jungle techno” was filling his record boxes as he travelled the UK. Such was the demand for his skills at this time by huge events all around the country that he was even strarting to catch private planes between gigs. Mickey's production talents started off with hits like Biting Back - She's Breaking Up , Urban Shakedown - Some Justice and is probably best known for the massive hit with Aphrodite – Bad Ass. In the late nineties Mickey traveled the world and threw down his jungle vibes in countries like Japan, USA, Australia, Holland, Ibiza, Canada, Germany, Finland, Israel and France just to name a few. Being at the top of the UK drum and bass phenomenon means his record bags are full of the most upfront dubplates and latest releases from producers all around the world. You do not want to miss this special ode to the “old skool” as Mickey Finn throws down for another Nightmare first.

Rowland the Bastard [London, U.K.] Techno
Bionic Orange / Infected / Smitten / Stay Up Forever.com
Rowland the Bastard (whose name comes from his straight-to-the-jugular style of mixing, and not his attitude!) started djing back in 1993. He could be found taking control of the dance floor at many free parties in the south west of England. From there on out, it was a fast paced frenetic rise to the top of the UK Acid Techno scene. Rowland is considered to be one of the best in his genre, banging hard relentless techno with no consideration for the heart conditions of the crowd. Armed now with a special set of what Rowland would call “ghetto-techno”, he pays tribute not only to our headliners, but such legends as dj Rush, Speedy J., dj Assault and dj Funk to name a few. Don’t miss this legend in action.

Unabomber [Toronto, Canada] whatever !?
Nightmare Productions / Terror Inc. / 2thebeat.com
Cleaning up in Toronto’s underground as one of the most sought after techno dj’s around. This guy always has something new and explosive to hit the dancefloor with and no one knows what that will be until he steps up to the decks. A special Valentine’s surprise is guaranteed.

Kamikaze [Toronto, Canada] booty house
Bassheavymusic.com / Darkside / Brickhouse
Now boasting the best and most complete collection of old (and new) school booty records in town. This guy has set himself apart as the leading booty house dj in Canada and is guarantee’n us a special tribute set of all the anthems you love best.

Spinz [Toronto, Canada] drum n bass
Blackmarket Records
One of the best known drum n bass dj’s in our city and probably the only one who dj’d with a puppet in a music video on Much. However, it has been a long time since he has graced the decks of a Nightmare event so rest assured he will be pulling out all the punches.

Mr. Brown [Toronto, Canada] drum n bass
Soul in Motion / 2thebeat.com / Darkside
Quickly rising to top ranks among the Toronto drum n bass scene. This guy has one, very extensive knowledge of the music he loves and a collection of promo’s and dubplates to match. Get ready for the rinse out.

D-Syfa [Toronto, Canada] drum n bass
Impure Beats
Toronto’s hottest jungle dj is on fire for many reasons. Solid promotional skills, sick sick tunes in his record bag, and some of the meanest, roughest mixing on the block. The rockin’ don’t stop when this guy hits the decks.

Opel [Toronto, Canada] hard dance
Nightmare / 2thebeat.com / Embedded
Originally from L-Town, now residing in Toronto, Opel has built himself a solid name and a solid reputation. He is among the top dj’s in Canada for his style of hard, groovy and high-nrg dance music, always sure to destroy any dancefloor.
