new co-production: hydra and ghost---bridge the gap (tech/prog breaks)

posted this over on progressivehouse.com, but figured you guys would dig this as well:

This is a fusion of progressive and tech breaks...involving layers of percussion, tech-noise, and several basslines/synths...lots of automation and shifty-ness to the effects layers...could be at home with a progressive dj or a breaks dj...was hoping to create layers of funk as well as melodicness and combine them with some fun tech-sounds i twisted/morphed/messed with in ableton to make them my own...

now that we have 2 computers setup in the studio, its very nice, as we can both simultaneously work on different parts of the track, and really get deep into the layers to make them unique

hope you all enjoy this one...let us know what you think

The beat is simple but it's doing its job, I like it, except from the kick, too bassy IMO.
Nice buildup, the fx are good.
The bass is kinda weird, and waaay too distorted IMO.
Nice and dark elements are going on in the background.
I liked that fx at 5:09-5:13, really nice.
OK I think it's a very nice production, very dark and mysterious as said above.
Keep it up
