I got this friday, that was about the day it was released on PC. Jesus this game rules! Its quite simple, but its_VERY_elegant in its simplicity.

Its like this, the intro shows the Punisher caught by the cops. In the holding cell the 2 detectives who deal with your case recount the events that took place since 3 weeks ago. Those events are the missions you play.

The story so far is okay, not much story actually but enough to keep something going on. The Punisher decides to waste a crackhouse in his neighbourhood. When he's done with that he's nearly runned over by someone. He looks up ( for the fans, actually microchip turned it up ) to whom the car belongs and starts wasting that guy. Turns out a maffia family wants you dead. I wont spoil more, but in every mission you discover a lead, or someone to catch for the next missions.

On to the gameplay. Its alot like Max Payne, only its easier. You can get shot...a lot of times... on normal mode. You walk around, guns blazing ( and there are lots of guns! ) and shoot people.

The fun starts with 2 new commands. The 'Quik Kill' and the 'Interrogation' command.

Interrogation
You can choose 'smash/punch,gun tension, choke, face smash' for interrogation methods, these are quite fun and they restore youre health and give you info.
There is also the case of 'enviromental interrogation'. There are more then 100 in the game ( or so they say ) and they range from threating to throw a guy in the woodchipper machine to pushing a guy's face in a pond full with piranha fish!
Whenever you get the info you want, you can still make the execution. And some of em are pretty sick! This game is pretty hard and gory! Not in many games can you push a man's head into a circle saw.

Quik Kill
This command is a attack wich always kills your opponent, but you have to be in close combat range. The quik kill always depends on what weapon you have, position, and randomness.
With small guns there are alot of execution style head and heartshots. but for example, lets take the M16.
when youre behind someone you can put the barrel of the gun on the guy's throat and then pull it backwards with a hard sick cracking sound, sometimes Punisher shoots him execution style, Punisher can also decide to bash someone in the stomach and then the nose with the butt of the gun.
There are also some special ones that are only affected by randomness. The 3 coolest are:
- Punisher takes out a knife and slithes the throat of someone
- Punisher throws his gun at someone, who catches it, and then Punisher takes out a knife and jabs it in the guys face
- Punisher shoves a small grenade in the victims mouth, he will run around for a couple of seconds whil choking and then explode. ( only seen it 1 time! )

You also have enviromental quik kills, such as pushing a mans face in a beartrap on the wall ( ouch! ) or throwing a guy on something spikey.

So you see, its much killing, the only thing you do in the game is run around kill things, the gem is in the extraordinary amount of deaths you get to see

Conclusion:

If youre a punisher fan, get this, its a helluva Punisher game with some cool other marvel cameo's. If youre an action fan this is also a game for you, but it helps if you like the Punisher character, because it makes the game so much cooler.
