Yea, that's probably because on the CDJ-1000's and CDJ-800's, scratching is actually a feature, rather than an effect like on the 3000 and the DMP-555.
If you're more concerned with the CDJ-1000's pitch resolution than the scratching availability, the CDJ-200 will have the same resolution (.02%), but won't have the scratching abilities, although a lot cheaper.
