Afaik, doom3 and hl2 are the only games currently that would make any use of video ram above 128, but as I said, those games would benefit MUCH more from more memory and core speed.

a simpler way of clearing this up to to look for benchies between the 2

(pic from a different thread, so the highlighted bits mean nothing here )

Futureshop has it for 50 bucks off, unless I find a cheaper place that's likely where I'll be heading for it.

The 9800.

fuck well it looks as though i have a PCI-E x16 slot instead can anyone make me some reccomendations for cards that would only be about 250 bucks canadian?
