hi,

i'm new to trance addict,

was heavily into breakbeats since my introduction to electronic music, but even the best breaks only do so much for me, and since my discovery of it, trance has changed everything,

one of the things was it inspired me to start learning how to write it,

so i've been spending some time in a friends studio, kinda feeling my way around things, have read up lots on the technical side of things, bought a version of cubase and a couple plugins and dove in head first,

this is what's come out so far:
Availble in .mp3 format here

most of it was created before i realy knew anything about music production and as such it's far from sounding great, i know the mastering, eq'ing, effecting has ages to go, but thought i'd post a version of it here and see what the community thought of it so far, *note, the percussion hasn't realy been touched yet, just a couple cookie cutter patterns and samples to hold the space, working on adding some rhythm and decent samples at the moment*

suggestions and or criticism would be greatly appreciated,
need to know where i've gone wrong to know where to take a different turn,

so let me know what you think

hi, and welcome to TA

listening:

the track starts of with an dark atmosphere.. it mixing and mastering is not top notch.. but doesnt sound all that bad.. some more percussions and some variation could be needed.. percs sounds a little to simple.. the track doesnt sound all that interesting, needs variation.. you are on to something.. just keep it up..
