just register your product w/ NI... there are tons of tutorials on their website, thats how i got started w/ battery

What sequencer are you using? In Cubase its fairly simple,
each cell got a note of its own in pianoroll, starting at C1, rising by semitone. You hit the note, sound in related cell plays, simple as that.
