I am really surprised RITM is allowing themselved to be billed like this when this is a Bunny and Confucious Dj set. I would think that there would be a lot of dissapointed people at the show that do not know the difference between the live show with costumes and a dj set.
If you saw them at Ultra just know that what you are going to see at the Hollywood date is a far different experience.
(this is not directed toward the promoter at all, as he billed the show properly...this is more of a general comment directed toward Bunny and Confucious)

that would be true but i think most of the people obviously know that they aren't going to do a live set in a club, especially Sonar. anyways they were just down here the day after x-mas [if u can see my avatar ;D] and tons of people were there watching them spin.
Btw. if this was a comment directed to Bunny i'm sure he wouldn't mind it at all. the flyer even says ABOVE their name that its a SPECIAL DJ SET not LIVE SET/SHOW w/e. i can always ask him when i see him tonight anyways

I have been a huge fan of RITM for 10+ years, and I obviously know the difference. But I also understand that the average uneducated dance music listener may have heard of the amazing live shows in the past...and then are let down by a dj performance.
I just think the allure of RITM is the stage presence and the original music. The thought of them Dj'ing does nothing for me persoanlly.
Do they spin alot of original material?

that's cool. i understand you. last time i couldn't really ID much of the tunes they were playing but they weren't bad at all. and even if you go see them do a dj set Confucious does most of the spinning and Bunny is down with the crowd dancing or hyping them up. You still see a show with Bunny lol.. look at the dude

Interesting. I guess like anything else, everyone evolves. It is becoming more difficult for promoters to shell out the 15k+ all the rider requirements for the live show in every market, so this is the answer to pay the Hallucination bills I guess.

To pay the bills or maybe cuz conference is next month. They can't be doing live routines back to back.
You are just spoiled since you have seen them live . lol
They can't do live routines over and over and coming up with new costumes and all that costs money so who knows??!!? It's always a show wherever Bunny is around. Trust me... He's out with the crowd and he goes all over the place. Which is just as cool as seeing him infront oh THOUSANDS of people.

I like Bunny. I met him last year at Junkie XL at Nerve. He is cool, but two years in a row I saw their group do the same exact live show. It was fantastic the first time and dissappointing the next. I understand the expense involved, but change things up a little at least.
And I'm sure the reason the advertised the way the did, is simply more money. I'm sure RITM will get a cut because of it.
