So they're just collecting dust in your record bag...

any ideas for what to do with a few records that you have NO use for?

i could take em (only maybe 5 that i REALLY have no use for) to the local shop and get a little cash for em.... but they're really crappy tunes from when i had first started DJing, and was just looking for anything in the shop to start out with... so that means even less i could get for em... and idk if you get cash or store cred. so i'd rather do something amusing with them...

so.... aside from playing frisbee, anyone ever done anything interesting with some old records?

You can make a clock with em, htfr sells a vinyl clock kit on their website.

Or yeah just throw em around but make sure you don't hit anyone lol.

even though theyre nothing special you could hang em up on your wall...

soon as my family moves to our new house here in a couple weeks i was thinking of taking some of my grandpa's old records (box of like 150 or so) and decorating my walls with a few key oldies -

All originals from way back when -

-soundtrack from (1971)Shaft by Isaac Hayes
-Van Halen Albums (1984,Van Halen I and II)
-Some Johnny Cash Albums
-Frank Sinatra
-Lionel Ritchie
-Michael Jackson - Thriller
-Boston
-Louis Armstrong
-Ray Charles

think of it as a momento - the wax that you first spun

Basterd, thats what I was gonna say.

You could try making a cool mouse mat out of them, make some kind of thin container and put a sheet of glass or plexi glass over it, as I doubt a mouse right on top of a record would feel to good.

You could attach them to your cars wheels and have like some cool custom hubcaps, maybe make them into spinners.

Could make a very small table out of them.

Use it as a mat for your food at the dinner table.

Or if you wanna be destructive, freeze it abit, then get a buddy to drive real fast while you hang out the window and then frisbee it into a wall as you pass it, watch the ****** EXPLODE.

Hey Freak, wanna send me a copy?

I've seen one semi-melted into a ash tray. Waste like, but if it's a satisfyingly shit tune go for it. I like having the crazy stuff I used to spin still tho, sometimes I get back into it for a night or so too. (or I used to till I moved to another fucking uni... shitty little room)
