some DJs are way beyond just DJing... they're technical geniuses, they know the equipment they use inside and out (and no, not just talking about turntables and mixers, but sound processors, effect processors, sound systems and custom sound setups, etc). And yes, some of them spend way too much time in record shops looking for those gems. You gotta give those guys some credit.
