Rasta Official Thread: Predictions: World Cup 2002 - Korea/Japan

oki i saw dat no1 yet has created a thread like dis so i decided 2
so soccer mates wat r ur predictions, on who will win da WC, who's gonna be da biggest disappointment, who's gonna be da biggest turn-around, etc. dis is da official WC 2002 thread, so if u wanna argue here, ur more dan welcome 2! hehe

WVG mate, make dis as a STICKY THREAD

oki my predictions:

from wat ive been seeing so far is dat Rep. of Ireland r doing very well, takes dem back all da way 2 WC 94, interesting team they r. Same goes 2 Slovenia, whis were a huge surprise in da European Cup, so i think those 2 teams might be da black horses in WC. Dats if Slovenia beat's da strong and unpredictable Romania, which is always interesting 2 watch. these r some of my thoughts i have, gotta look up on more of wats going on

hmmm dont know about Italy and German..Germans play very sufisticated fussball, their always good 2 watch, but ya its strange Germany hasn't been doing good lately...its coz of Jurgen Klinsmann, he left da team, retired, yes he was 1 of my fav players in 93-97', really amazing striker, powerful, tall, flexible and had a good strong shot...da thing with Germans is dat, the new coach is still searching 4 his new team, looking and examining players, i just hope Germany finally gets out of dat hole and starts playing like they used 2...no comments about Italy, Italians r almost perfect, they just lack of 1 thing in da recent years, which is LUCK lost in european championship 2 France, WC 94, dramatic loss 2 Brazil, i mean how unfortunate is dat ahhh now theres France, interesting group over da years, France doesn't consist of da best defence, but da most important is da midfield..hm just wondering who will play in da starting line-up of France? old veterans ---> Zidane, Djorkaeff (he's old, but still very effective), Petit, Deschamps (wow, 40 and still playing)

France isn't going to win, they wpn last time and they won the EC.
Engeland, mayb a little chance to win, we will see.
Argentina aren't that good as they were.
Mayb Portugal is going to win

As you see, it is hard to decide.
Too bad, the netherlands aren't qualified.

Deschamps quit playing for the national team, but about the French team,I don't think they will have the luck they had in the past WC and EC,neither will have Italia I'm guessing,Argentina , Spain and croatia will have a good chance, and also the Netherlands ..... oh wait a minute they're not going!!!!! And just wanted to say tha Belgium is waaaahahahaha sorry you dutch guys, but we qualified in a quiet dazzeling game yesterday,we were totally blown away in the first part, but we still managed to keep our goal clean, hoera for that

well im sure the 1 main thing we all agree on is that its very unpredictable this year..all the teams have neva been so tighly locked..i honestly think england have a chance..providing we have some luck which we NEVER get..ie if it goes 2 penalties goodbye
its a joke holland didnt qualify i must admit.i also dont c france winnin it or argentina 4 that matter..remember where u heard this 1st but i think we will get a surprise winner next year....either....england,portugal,italy?!?! who knows...a eueropean "good-average" team will win it.

FF
