If you are in the Ottawa area or will be in the area on April 22nd, 2005 you have to check out this awesome new monthly event.

How It Works:
Dust Promotions and Defiance Entertainment have teamed up to bring an IRON DJ battle to the nation's capital.
What we've done is selected four of the top DJs in Ottawa to represent Trance, Techno, DnB and House/Breaks. They have been given the title of IRON DJ and are to defend this title against all challengers.
There are two rounds per night, one genre of music per month.
Round One consists of two challengers who battle each other in half alternating half hour segments. During this time a panel of three judges will rate each participant based on criteria already provided to them.
The crowd is also encouraged to vote via drink/ballot voting. These votes will be tallied at the end of the round and the score added to the scores given by the Judges.
The loser retires with nothing and the winner moves on to Round Two.
Round Two follows the same format as round one but this time the challenger faces off against the IRON DJ that best suits the gener for the evening.

Opening Night:
The IRON DJ residents are to be unvieled on opening night.
The first two challengers are General Mayhem (Sundaze) vs. ONVERSAL's Phunktokta.
The winner will move on to face IRON DJ House/Breaks.

General:
Cover is $5.00 at the door, the event is 19+ with I.D.
Location: Acqua Niteclub and Lounge (160 Rideau St.)
Time: 10pm-2am
Date: April 22nd, 2005 with subsequence events in the months proceeding.
