It might actually be a moniter, for controlling video, as more and more djs are working video into their sets.

Or it could be used for final scratch/seratoscratch, which let djs control mp3s from a computer as if they were vinyl, or it could possibly be for abelton live.

I havent been to any club that has a screen...that is unless you are talking about laptops. Which would then leave me to think maybe the djs like using final scrath or other dj software.

I thought the computer and screens were for the lightshow arrangement in the club....

maybe you guys are referring to something else though...
