Let me note that these turntables are actually great, i started off with the STR8-30, while these are the STR8-90, obviously a newer model could only mean they are a ton better than STR8-30 but again let me note that the STR8-30s torque is something to watch for, the torque is not as strong as the Technics but they did the job for me till now even but i haven't tried the 90 version. People should consider these as first turntables definetly..
good luck

These are perfect turntables (in perfect condition!) for either starting out or to mess with at home.
Just to note, Psygnosis, Stanton do not give a measurement of torque in Kgf/cm for the Stanton STR8-30s, likely because the measurement would be so low that it would be a drawback to sales.
Stanton advertises the STR8-90 (the ones in the auction) as having a torque of 2.2Kgf/cm!
Remember that the top of the line 30th anniversary edition SL-1210MK5G Technics have an advertised torque of only 1.5Kgf/cm...
Someone is going to pick up a nice sounding (and looking!) set of turntables, ready to take out of the box and play for under 1000 bucks here!
Craig.
