Best sample collection of bongos/congas/djembes, etc.
Anyone have a very high quality one to recommend?

You might want to go for some latin samples or a world beat sorta thing. The best congos I ever heard were live at some club in england thou in the house room. I have some samples that are ok for bongos and etc.... I would like to know of a full cd of them too.

I've found a decent percussion sample CD to be a very difficult thing to get hold of for some reason. Plenty of loop-based ones out there but very little in the way of single hits. The best one I've found so far is something called Bob Clearmountain Percussion & Bass which is a collection of a wide range of percussion sounds (including bongos, congas, tablas etc) and various classic bass guitars. Don't use the bass guitars much but the percussion wasn't bad. Not the most extensive set of conga hits though so if you're buying solely for these, you might want to look elsewhere.
If anyone has any other recommendations, I'd be keen on hearing them as I'm still looking for that elusive great percussion CD as well.

Thanks, I'm really interested in downloading them, but I can't figure out how to use them... it downloads the packs as single files with the extention "document." How do I extract the samples? =\

You need to change the file extension to .rar and it will work.
