Agreed. When the arguments are that stupid (they have no arguments really) there is no need to do anything, people are smarter than that, to start a fuss will only strengthen them. On the other hand, if they actually had some (crappy) arguments to support their claim, you could always send a letter to the editor, or start a counter campaign or whatever.
