Just a constructive thought here; why don't you sort your records alphabetically by record label or alphabetically by artist name? I know I sort mine ascending by record label and IMO it is the easiest and most efficient way to catalogue vinyls and I'm happy with it. There is no hassle of dealing with the inconsistencies of genres, bpm, or date of release and it doesn't matter how big your collection gets as you will always be able to place the record appropriately. However, if you don't care to organize by the suggestions I gave, then I agree with using Discogs. For the most part, the year of print is listed, but many also are not. Other than Discogs, searching Google may bring up some release info on certain records.
