Question Adding VST effects 2 audio channels

Hi everyone, this is my first post here although i have been looking through this site for some time now.

I have a question 4 ya all, is it possible to apply vst effects, reverb, compression, eq, etc, to audio channels in realtime via ADAT.

My setup consists of a virus xl rack, motif rack, and ex7. I have 8 individual mono outs,(4 from each rack) as well as my stereo outs going into cubase sx through my behringer ada8000 and my emu1212.

i know that i can apply effects directly from my sound card to each ADAT channel, but i would rather use proper vst effects. without first having to mix down to audio. thanks and respect.

Hey. VST effects of course can be used in realtime! If your using an all hardware setup then these will probably suit you best.

Hardware VST Hosts:
PlugZilla
Muse Receptor

There are a few other companies I have talked with and they tell me theyll be following with thier own hardware VST hosts but not until next year. Hope this is what you were looking for .

Cheers,
Zac

Hello!

Hi IDarkISwordI

Thanks for the quick reply and the information about the hardware hosts, i will look into them, but its not really the answer i was hoping for as my credit card is already maxxed out.

Its really frustrating cause in cubase sx, in the mixer i can see my 8 mono audio channels and i can adjust the eq and add vst effects to the channels but it has no affect on my sounds.

Guess i will just have to continue to use the effects on my emu1212 for now.

Thanks
baz
