Kush I posted one of the links that Blink talked about a while back ... the thread was titled something like "Are you a racist", and included the Harverd Implicit something or nother test.
I've started reading Blink, but the author is sorta wearing out on me. He talks way to much about himself. I could care less about the douche. Tell me what others think, not what you think, your just a damn writer!
I think I'm around page 200 or so and just been too lazy these past weeks to finish it. I've started read Sharansky's book which at least makes a theory with much more substance.
I don't really think there is too much substance to what he says. Yes many times our instinctual reactions are accurate but many times they are not. He does not provide good criteria for when we should trust our judgement and when we shouldn't.
If nothing else the book does reinforce the belief that you should trust your instincts more - which isn't a bad thing.
But I don't really think it offers anything new on the subject.
I did like the argument in Blink where girls don't know what they are looking for in a mate. When asked before they meet a guy they say, blah blah blah, and then after, they say blah blah differently.
Its interesting those type of cases where your unconscience rules your decisions and you can't comprehend it.
BTW, Kush if you liked Blink, you will LOVE Wisdowm of the Crowds

Oh and for those who don't know Blink, its a top seller:

I'd really recommend reading it after Wisdom of Crowds as it will put it in some perspective.
