Soundforge 7 Recording Problem

When i try to record a mix on Soundforge 7 there are 2 db bars that go up and down accordingly. On my right hand turntable they both move, but on my left only one bar moves. I have tried my other deck in the same channel but the same thing happens. Anyone have any idea why this could be?

thanks in advance
Liam

It could be the channel, or something. Try listening to your turntable from your computer speakers and see if it sounds bad/weird. That will help narrow the problem: Bad Sound Card, Bad Mixer...etc..

OR...its a fucked up winblows recording setting.

this could be many things. does it only put out one channel through the speakers, or is this problem solely on the computer?

check output wires, and try swapping your output to a different one. 7/10 times this is caused by a chunk of dust.

Well i dont have any computer speakers, i use my mixer-amp-speakers to listen to my computer ect. I recorded a mix and listened to it in my mates car, but when there was a mix the sound went from all 4 speakers to only 2 on one side.

Hope you guys know what i mean
thanks
