Re: turntable holding pitch.

Furthermore, when I spin out at clubs on Techs I find it easier to beat match and hold a mix without adjusting the pitch as often. Also I feel like my pitch control is not as responsive when trying to correct drifting as that of the techs.
How can I test my table to see if it is fact messed up? I have a bpm counter on my Kaoss pad 2 and that sometimes fluctuates. ie if a track is 138bpm it will fluctuate between 137 and 138.. but maybe this is normal as beat counters cant be all that accurate...
and also if it is in fact buggered, how can I fix it?

i have the EXACT same problem. i mix on techs in a club, and i'm fine, but at home on my PT2410s, my pitch won't hold. it's def a problem with the tables. they only have a pitch adjustment of .1% anyway, so making longer transitions is already harder to begin with. i bought my PT2410s used for $100 a piece last May, so i'm not really bummed about it (i've gotten so much use out of them). currently, i am in market to upgrade to techs...i'd probably suggest that you do the same. i don't really think that pumping money into fixing these tables is really worth it.
