Help with FM7

So I'm trying to recreate this one trance lead but using FM7 is a little more difficult than I remember it being. If someone can point me to a tutorial or help me with figuring out why I get a delay on a synth that would be great. I think it has something to do with the envelop but not sure.

Are you using the VST or stand alone?

Try going to the "Master" window (in between "Mod" and "Easy") Delay time is on the right hand side under "effect".

I'm messing with the trance lead preset and i want it to not have a delay effect but even when i put delay to 0 and take off the effect it still doesn't work.

FM7 is one of the hardest plugs to programm...if ur sure its the enternal effect which causes the delay go first to the easy edit, turn it off. then to the master, and finally check ur LFO...

The best way to start with FM7 is to go in the 'LIB' section, then 'LOAD' , then go through the folders and search for 'empty32' bank, then select a blank preset.
There will be no delay or other effect.
Return to A oscillator, enable it and through the matrix do A > 100 > OUT.

Now experiment and you will learn quickly.
