I checked out that track sample. It is 4 beats per bar except at 15 seconds there is a 2 beat bar, which is a 2 beat break, and then he restarts the 4 beat bars. So this track sample segment is unusual in that it contains one bar of 2 beats that can mess up your timing if you are trying to mix in something when that short 2 beat bar happens. Almost everything in EDM is always 4 beats per bar and the breakdowns are usually multiples of 4 beats in length. Assuming there are several of those 2 beat bars in the full Raumschmiere track, that could throw you off.
The BPM is constant at 127.03. But a slightly unusual thing is the drumbeat does not always occur exactly on the beat - so there is very small breakbeat characteristic that could sound "off" when you are mixing or transitioning to another track. There's probably a word for that slight timing variation - I don't think it's syncopation, I looked it up and that's not it. |
exactly. when i mix it, it's like it's pitched, but no it's not, but, yet is it. ok, so it's not synced? no wait. it is. no wait, it's not. no... fuck you. DIE RAUMSCHMIERE DIE! but he makes good shit. yes. this is good. fuck. there's a trainwreck going for 30 seconds now...
