The Simpsons is one of, if not the best show ever. imo

Along with Seinfeld, Curb your enthusiasm, The Sopranos.

It's allrigt, the humor is a bit too. "I don't want to think to get a joke."

As is with seinfield.

My favourite is Newsradio.

Family Guy is the choice animated, probably Scrubs for best live-person comedy

True. The old episodes were about 1000x better to say the least.
91'to 95'the golden years. Mr Burns casino one of the episodes.

The Simpsons is just painfiul to watch now. Season 17 is out in November, but I'm not holding out much hope. The blender sitation mentioned above is typical of how it is now.

The older episodes were incredibly subtle, quick-witted and appealed to adults and kids on different levels and incredibly clever.

It used to be good, and now it's gotten horrible. They're recycling ideas, making horrible jokes, and it occasionally gets political.

the old epsiodes are absolutely hilarious-- but now, its just horrible...

i believe Simpsons rise to success was based on their style of humor that was both witty and satirical to normal every day of life. It takes a lot of get me off the computer, but i use to watch it every sunday night.
These days however, it's turned more of into a slapstick style humor. It's still popular, but it doesn't get my vote, nor do i think it gets the vote of other long time viewers.

family guy has taken over.
