hey folks! do you know any tracks similar to the music in the bladerunner movie?
i want to have some good inspiration so any advices on old electronical ambient enigma kinda music is welcome also. thanks!

God YES. Blade Runner was a very inspirational movie for me in terms of music back in the 1980s. Vangelis is a genius.

As above, Jean Michel Jarre is highly suggested.

I would also suggest Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream also has a bunch of good space music, but some of it is space rock. Delerium and Enigma have some ambient-space on their older releases in the early 1990s. Brian Eno maybe has some space electronic the kind you are looking for.

Other than that, I really cant think of any other artist at the moment.

Nope. It was made in 1982.

Brian Eno - Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks (which has the so so good An Ending (Ascent)) and about everything else by him too
Eric Serra - Le Grand Bleu (US release is called The Big Blue) soundtrack might be good too and i definitely recommend to see the movie as well.

Hehehe, that movie looks pretty darn good for 1982, eh? Amazing graphics for that year, one of the reasons why that movie had a cult going in the 1980s, and to the day still have a strong fan base. There were some 'remake' and sequel attempts of the movie, but none were as good as the original.

Personally, I think that was the best work of the director Ridley Scott.

Vangelis - Main Titles is my favourite tune from my movie, by the way! The first tune of the movie, when they show LA in 2019 ... I melt .... those synths are amazing ....

The proper spelling is Wojciech Kilar. Yes, I like his style. No, he doesnt play any ambient music - but gothic/classical-instrumental-orchestra music. I own a couple of his soundtracks, hehe ...

Mike Oldfield does have some ambient music, though I'd classify his style as more of mainstream nature/tribal sound influenced, covered by ambient sounds, synth not used consistently ... I almost bought one of his CDs once, didnt like the sound.

Ennio Morricone has some good stuff.
