I'm just starting to learn this program, you guys on here have been super helpful. I'm having trouble importing drum loops. Say I insert a channel such as SimSynth, and import a midi of the melody from a popular song, that works fine. But then if I goto a different channel, one that's a drum, and I try to import a midi (something small, a drum beat), nothing happens. Anyone get what I'm talking about and have an answer? Thanks in advance.

one more thing if I may ask... say I'm working on a melody, and I'm in the piano roll. The pattern is in the area of for example, C#5. How can I move the whole melody up one octave (copy and paste just seems to put it right back in the same spot)

press ctrl + a (in piano roll view) to select all of the notes. they should change color (pink?). now drag a note with the pencil tool and the entire group will follow.

When you import a midi, just de-select every channel that isn't the melody, It's that simple :)
