There's a gate plugin in ableton live, but i'm not sure how to use it (nor am I sure if this plugin will do my desired effect).

What I am trying to do is a noise gate that happens every other beat . You know that off-on-off-on gated synth like the deep dish remix of Paul van Dyk - The Other Side. I could do this by hand, but it will be very tiresome.

So can someone tell me how to set up this noise gate plugin, or if I do need another plugin that will do this for me?
