Paul van Dyk & Edgar V @ Space 8/20/05 Review + pics + videos!
Uh...your DarkAngel is a total vieegie righ now, but i wiLl do my best to give a review plus the few pics I took last night.
before i get started, i wwanmt humbly apologize to everyone for not saying good-bye. As a result of being up 24 hours, I'm cracked more than the san andreas vault and I needed to get home depertatly for some rest.
I got to Space at almost 1, and got my ticket at will call with no problem. I never had the time to go to grooveman to get the shit, so bleh on that.
The SPACE staff were annoucing "this event is sold out. this line is for ticket holders only. otherwise. good bye."
Seems Luis Puig was actually TRYING to abide the fire code.
Then again, maybe pigs will fly.
I had stated before that I didn't5 like Edgar's opening sets at Space. Boy was THAT a bad assumption t6onight. He was owning NASTy the moment I got in and until DA MAN, Paul van Dyk,m took ovet the turntavbkles. The moment he stepped into the booth, that infamoua grin appeared on my face once again, and this, ladies and gentlefolks, was NO Thanksgiving.
Tons of tunage, lots from Global Gathering, Berlin Masters and some Dance Valley. All his best recent sets from this year, quite unlike 2004, with a few exceptions, to that remark, of course.
Anyway, Edgar played Naline & kane - open your eyes (Markus Schulz & Elevation mix) I Texted my lil Mel with that. The place went INSANE. the mix was perfect for Space, the lights, everything. Just amazing. When edgar played this other song (i know RzO, kelly, rachel and ryan are familiar with it...I think it was Till There was You?) the crowd went bonkers yet AGAIN. TA turnout was stunning as usual. so great seeing everyone again...may faces. Rachel, ryan, Dr.dave, rzo, kelly, so many..cant name them all now...
PVD tracks included:
Andain: beautiful things ((Markus Schulz's Shadows Of Coldharbour Mix)
Brent's song was played! Marcos - Just for a Day (Marc van Linden remix)
Marco - V - More than a life away
Randy Katana - Fancy Fair '05
U2 - Where The Streets Have No Names (Nu-NRG Remix) <- berlin masters. holy FUCK i couldnt believe PVD played tis,. nu nrg are fuckin AmAzing producers/remixers
Apollo 440 - Stop The Rock (Gigolo Instrumental)
Okay. the tunage, with ONE major exception was unrarelled, as well as another song i cant ID. Time of Our Lives (UK? remix) The moment it came on i said "FUCK!" out loud and texted THAT to Eric. I knew he woudl roll his eyes at that, as well as Flo (PatMcgroin) BUT i was with them on this one. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, waiting for the song to end.
PVD closed with The Other Side. We went nuts up front and sang along to it. such a great tune. This KICKED tahanksgivings ass in my opinion, and now, for the pics in the next post.
sorry again about spelling and grammer but DA is FUBAR right nowe.
