A few months ago, I bought a cdj-200 and just hooked it up to my computer speakers and it worked just fine. I just got another 200 and a djm 707 recently and hooked them up to the speakers and there was no sound. The speakers are logitech z-2300. I can hear everything through the headphones and if I plug the speakers in to the headphone jack, I can hear it through the speakers but I know thats the wrong way to set them up. So, do I need an amp or is something else wrong? Thanks for the help.

computer speakers are powered, meaning they have their own amp.

my suggestion is go mixer into the line in of your sound card and then hook up your computer speakers as you normally would and it should be fine.

you have them hooked up to the master out right? so there are the two rca's hooked to it right?

Yeah, the white and red rcas are hooked up to the master out in the back.

I would do that but I have my tables set up on the opposite side of my room. any other suggestions?

i have the z2300 and used them for monitoring and they do fine.
however my right speaker is messed up now and there's some static/fuzz when i change the volume, but i'll be getting my replacement in a week.

hmmm...how do you have yours set up?

Ok I got it figured out now. I had the transform switch in the wrong position.
