He's invented alot of effects himself and he uses shit loads of promo's people send him so I guess only he knows. But it might be the "stutter effect" you're talking about that's where he repeats a sample at the level of unreal note values and then he applies your standard effects like flanger and what-not to those repetition slices and then uses his technique of "nano-correcting" to time it all properly. Or something like that? I think he'll explain it better in his upcoming book, the man is a damn genius.
