I'd have to agree. Can't do too much better than that.
Except maybe those Wendy's thickshakes that have the ice cream and bits and stuff on top.

they are good for a gimmick. but nowhere near as good as the new zealand ice cream shakes. the soft serve creates a texture that is all wrong and they can be too milky sometimes. however the NZ ones you are basically drinking the ice cream, its awesome. the guy who runs the NZ ice cream shop in doncaster shoppingtown made the best ones, when i worked across the road i used to go there nearly every day. unfortunately haven't been there for a while, but the chaddy people aren't doing a bad job.

anyways. dairy bell is also very good, my favourite there is choc caramel and chocolate sometimes go for boysenberry swirl to mix it up a bit. cold rock ice creamery again good for a gimmick, get some cookie dough mixed into your ice cream hehe.

If I'm eating ice cream it's Blue Ribbon

Not as keen on ice cream but I love gelati... 7 Apples in St Kilda is by far the best, mango & lemoncello

Baskin Robbins... I know Vi will respond to this because they all know her name there
I go the Rainbow Sherbet in a waffle cone of course.

hmmmm ice cream. well dairy bell nuts about chocolate is my pick for the at home ice cream, with chocolate fudge added it becomes death by chocolate. i have to say though when i am out anything from charmaines ice cream is the way to go. real vanilla ice cream is always a winner, but only if it is made with real vanilla beans. any coffee related ice cream i find is very good in a thick shake, it ends up being mega-iced coffee (especially if get them to add a shot of espresso in) my local ice cream place does it, and it is awesome.
