This saturday my pioneers broke while I was playing @ spundae. I have lost all hope in any and all DJ headphones. That was my 3rd pair and this will be my 4th. I have had the sony's, pioneers and the sony studio ones. ALL HAVE BROKE ON ME! As far as quality, I like the pioneers best cuz the woofer is a bit smaller and the kick is more clear. the sony's have been the most comfortable and the sony studio's are great but not so comfortable for DJing.
Any input????
Thanks,
Mike Lord

In terms of sound quality, nothing beats the Pioneer HDJ-1000s in my opinion. As far as reliability, you can't possibly go wrong with the Sony MDR-7506 headphones. It's kind of like the Toyota Camry of DJ-and-producing headphones, heh. One of the best, shown by several consumer reviews. If I were you Faded, I would wait on the MDR-V700s, I think they suck personally. You can get a 7506 for $99.95 on DJ mart, and you can negotiate a lower price with DJ Tranz (on TA).
Peace
Refuge
I use the 7506's and fucking love them. They kick the 700's ass in terms of sound quality and comfort.
Take better care of your shit Faded!

I have a pair of 7506 for over 10 years!!!! Yeap, you heard right OVER 10 YEARS!!!! I really love them, the only reason why I dont use them any more is cause they got really torn down. Then my friend gave me as a pair of 700's, I had them for less than a month and the broke!!!! ggrrr I don't like the 700's. I refuse to buy them! hehehehe.... After doing some research, I ended up buy the Technics 1200 Silver headphones. They kick ass! I never had a problem with them. When these go bad, I'm buying the newer version of them. Either that or I'm getting another pair of 7506's.

i must say EVERYONE i see folds the v700's the wrong way... that's why they break so fast on you guys lol.
theres a certain way to fold them so that you don't put pressure on the joints....
HOW TO PROPERLY FOLD SONY MDR V700's by your noobie dj friend israel yunyor chabessss...
::trumpets sound::
1st... hold up the Sony MDR's up by both speakers and making sure that the (L) speaker is to your left side.
2nd... twist the "subwoofers" away from you so that you see the SONY symbols on the plates and so you see the (L) and (R)
3rd... swing them UPWARD into the ARCH of your headphones making sure that the (L) headphone with the WIRE is ontop!
4th... LOL @ YOURSELF for not realizing how EASLY they fit into your silver mdr bag this way...

I'm a proud user of the j.c. mdr v700 folding way and NOTHING wrong with my mdr v700, but I'm thinking to get a pair of 7506s for my computer

Anybody want to loan me a pair for the 7506's so I can try them out this saturday??? I'm looking at those. I had the 900's before and definately not DJ friendly so I gave those to my sister for studio use. One of the highest quality headphones ever used but not good for taking on and off every few minutes.
