UFC 56: Full Force Main Event Changed

Karo Parisyan suffered an injury and will not be able to fight Matt Hughes for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 56. Rage in the Cage veteran Joe "Diesel" Riggs will be stepping in Parisyan's place. Riggs is coming off a win over Chris Lytle at UFC 55.

MMA is fucking sick... UFC shows are more useful then basic math lol... im a fan, but i would not turn down a training opportunity.

kfergs, I have fought in lowell at the tsongas arena and in revere at club lido and in taunton at the matrix, theres fights at the avalon once in awhile, you should check them out. go to www.massmma.com and check it out.

I don't train personally, but I do study mma and certain moves quite a bit... I'd love to train, but i don't know if im in pysical shape yet to endure the training that these guys go through... maybe a couple more months of working out and ill go for it! i love the sport!

theres some awesome guys out of NH, Nuri Shakir, who is out of team elite, which has UFC vets Mike Brown, and Jorge Rivera.

this will be a tough test for hughes. Hughes is an all around badass, but i don't think he's faced such a HARD striker (as well as accurate) as riggs. Even if it goes to the ground, i think Riggs might control the action with strength. good fight. Hughes will take it with the heart and endurance. He pulls it out all the time.

Glad to hear all the Pride fighters who came off a loss came out with the win this past monday. So many rumors of the NYE card.

Sergei vs. Fedor. This seems to be the next serious HW matchup. However, Shockave(Man Festival) has always been a spectacle and not the highlight of the year (which goes to Final Conflict). I except this to be on the first card of 2006, but not on NYE.
Fedor vs Yoshida. Fedor of Sambo and HW Champ facing Japanese Judo fan favorite Yoshida. a chance for Pride to RACK in the crowd buyout and payperview sales. VERY VERY likely

Sergei definently deserves the shot, but i am interested to see Yoshida take the usual BIG FUCKING punch and take it to the ground. As i've heard, Yoshida looks small on your screen, but he is FUCKING HUGE in real life

fedor is like the terminator, anybody seen that clip of randleman throwing him on his head and fedor just shaking it off and tapping randleman. insane throw.

Bonnar/Irvin is likely off due to both fighters being injured. I've heard MVA may pull out due to injury as well.

Neither Riggs nor Quarry have earned a title shot, but you've got to give Riggs credit for taking the fight on short notice. Should be a pretty average card, but you can never tell for sure... Sherk/GSP is the true main event imo.

anybody in the atl want to watch live fights check out www.thefightparty.com they have some good shows there. had my ass kicked there a few times.

I like PRIDE fights more than UFC myself..

I like how they deduct 10% of the purse if theres no action.
