Armin & Eddie Halliwell at Godskitchen

We all love threads like these so I thought I'd mention this.

Last night in Dublin they were both playing, and Eddie's last tune was playing. Armin came on and started mixing in his first song (he was up there for about 90 seconds at it) when Halliwell suddenly grabs his (own) record from the turntables, killing the music completely.

Armin looked a bit bemused and started up his intro tune again, while himself and Eddie had a (pretty unheated) chat for 3-4 minutes.

Alot of idle speculation on what caused it all, which I will happily share;
quote:
Armin pulled the fader down as Advanced was about to kick in. Halliwell snapped because it was his final tune, and everyone was waiting for the riff, but Armin pulled the fader down and started his set.

Thats why he snapped.

quote:
was in the backstage bar meself, but one of the lads i was there with was standing beside eddie when it happened

basically armin wouldnt let him put the irish flag around him, took it off him and threw it on the ground, so eddie ejected the tune that was playing

as eddie said when i asked him, it was "egos"

Niether of them really seem overly egoistical, so it was probably nothing. And on the night, Eddie >> Armin.
