Just cause they're in the top10...
DOESN'T MEAN THEY SUCK TOTAL ASS!
Every thread I see there's a comparisson to a top10 DJ followed by "That guy is too commercial and he sucks". I've said it to and realised now how retarted it is to rag on the people who like these DJs and rag on the DJs themselves.
1) It's possible that people like Trance and House at the same time (believe or not)
2) It's possible that some house DJs don't appeal to people
3) Just cause you've been listening to EDM for your entire life or 7 more years than others have, doesn't mean the stuff you listen to appeals to everyone, in saying that it doesn't mean it doesn't suck either.
You could have listened to every single set by every single DJ ever (well you couldnt really have but whatever) and still the stuff you listen to might not appeal to me or someone else, does that mean Im a dumbass? Well maybe I am a dumbass, but not because I dont like certain house DJs or certain Trance DJs, or certain clubs.
Everyone's got their own taste! Me thinks if the major house whores here love their house and adore every aspect of it, then that's fucking awesome.
But for shit sakes music is something that someone cannot help liking or disliking, nor can they help that they don't know everything about it.
But if some dude is like "omg tiesto pwns" that might mean either A) Tiesto is the only DJ he knows about or B) He's heard it all and might still like Tiesto.
Some people look for repetition in artists, thus why Tiesto fans exist, he puts on mirror image shows constantly, but hey that might appeal to people, let them enjoy it!
Personally I can't stand Tiesto, I cant stand Circus either so I cant bring myself to understand why a Tiesto fan would fly from British Columbia to hear Tiesto in (in my opinion) that crap club.
But to each his own! (Or her own)
I listen to what I like in Trance, I listen to what I like in House... If one of you "Veteran" guys wants to send me a set or a track that blows your mind, by all means do but can someone please tell me why there is all this wasted effort in telling everyone they're mentally defective just cause they listen to "cheese"?
I'm under the impression EDM and Partying walk hand in hand.
Therefore! If a Trance DJ can throw a sick party with what you call "Cheese" then he's just as deserving as a DJ that cant impress a crowd even with his/her superior mixing skills.
I know I'm gonna get flamed for writing this "n00b" post but whatever, I'm thick headed when it comes to people insulting other people over shit they can't change. (IE what sounds good or bad to them)
