mistimed bdrum -double hits?

I use a laptop with only 256 RAM, so when I play back my track I get little jumps- creating pops and off-timed drum hits. When I export audio mixdown -Cubase, offline - it gets rid of the pops but I still get a couple spots where it sounds like the timing is off, the bd does a double hit. What's causing this?

i don't see why the problem would only occur with BD and not other elements. look at the wave-form and make sure there isn't any silence (or other things that look out of place) before the kick.

however, the pops and clicks do indicate this is a cpu and/or driver issue. use asio drivers... if your card doesn't support them, download the drivers from www.asio4all.com. 256 ram is a bit lacking; you want to be closer to 512mb or 1gb.
