Evil1 Problems hearing the beats as one.

I have had decks for about 3 months. I was getting much better at beatmatching and was improving on the other skills of Djing. However a couple of days ago, i started having trouble mixing. I was becoming much more able to tell which beat was faster or slower. It's like i cannot do it. My roommate has been mixing well so i know it isnt the tables. Has anyone ever had this problem? I mean i just dont fucking get it.....And it is driving me INSANE! I was using the technique of cue-starting and it was working fine. Suggestions? Criticisms?

Do you practice constantly? Your ears might be fatigued and its affecting you. You should take a break and do something wholesome like drink a beer or smoke a cigarette.

take a week off...

i've gone through the same thing. I practiced 8-9 hours a day, for a couple of days. Ur just getting tired....

just rest, and when u get back into it, make sure ur enjoying the music, and relaxed. Don't worry too much about the mix, when u get back into it.

3 months? C'mon man you're not supposed to be good after 3 months. Go out get drunk don't mix for a week then come back and practice some more.

mate relax, ive been spinning for 3 years and i still get the odd patch where i cant mix for anything, its natural, it happens to everyone, people can vouch for this. yeh its frustrating as hell, but you just gotta realise that you will eventually get it.
just step back from the turntables and take a break, coz the more you worry bout it the more its gonna get on your nerves which makes you just wanna kick the crap out of your techs which you will regret!!!

I can honestly say I've never had this happen to me. Seems odd that it would just go away like that. Maybe you are fatigued or something...not sure what to tell you.
