Hailing from Hamilton just outside Glasgow the influence of trance music made its mark early. With the likes of Judge Jules metoric popularity in 1999 and recording of all his shows it was easy to enter into the world of dance music.
Having followed many shows and browsing record shops the plunge was taken and turntables purchased in the Christmas of 2000 landing in the room thus a new local dj was found.
After a couple of years applying the trade that is djing a lucky one shot demo sent to Simon Foy was picked up and John found himself being asked to come in to do a guestmix of Scotland biggest radio station 'Beat106'. Having completed this successfully in 2002 the inevitable followed and a residency was taken up at local night in Glasgow namely 'Substorm'.
Having made a small name around the 'underground' of Glasgow another night was formed under the name 'Inertia' at the Big Joint in Glasgow this was highly successful and again the name was pushed out there higher than before with a small guest slot at Refresh following.
With great expectations in 2005 it did not start out with any disapointments. Having passed demos of some early production work 23rd Precinct approached and in a flash signed to 23rd Precinct recordings. With 2 productions being released straight off and getting to remix the massive Altitude hopefully 2006 will be better than ever. |
