There are no places like that. you're fucked, really. NY is full of married couples with children. Your best bet: Yonkers, West Chester, or hell... Albany!
Pssssssst! Don't tell anyone but there's this little known place called Manhattan. You have to ask around where it is - but once you know, check it out - I hear it's pretty hip.

this is one cool place to hang out and meet people, it is a little upscale, but if you hit it on the right nights, they play some cool lounge music
