[Uplifting '99 Style] Starpulse - Fantastic

I mainly been producing progressive house/tech stuff nowadays but out of the blue i created a nice uplifting trance tune with that '99 feel. Im kind of confused on what label would except this if any ! No effects or anything, just the intruments in this mix. What do you guys think ?

Hello!

Ok, the first thing I thought when I listened was "Jeez, it seems a bit slow". I'd probably be playing this at +6% at least, so if you are going for that uplifting '99 feel you might wanna up the tempo to the 140BPM regions. I feel it would sound nicer at a faster speed.

The whole mix is nice and clear, so well done with that! Also there's some nice melodies in there at the start. The key changes make me feel a bit uneasy though. They sound very... er... unexpected. I don't know if that's good or bad though.

You might want to boost the bass a bit too. It sounds nice at the start, but I don't think it's loud enough, and a little boost may help the drive of the track. I may well be wrong though.

i agree, faster tempo, nice melodies and lead sound. not sure about the key change. bit too ott, needs to be more subtle. i think the percs are a little too loud ? not sure though.

good effort.

Thanks for the feeback guys !

Yeah its at a slow bpm, only a quick eq done no mastering here. This tune was probably produced under an hour.. It randomly just spurred out of my head.

Nice slow percs starting out. Perfect BPM. Beautiful arps, nice melodies with it. Is that a piano I hear? Well if it is, I like it.

Nice progression. Great break, needs more excitement though.

Great sample!

Lovin it,

William

Listening...

The kick is nice but its distoring alot of elemnts along with the bass, compress the kick and bass together and keep an eye out for mastering during your mix. The lead sound is great but im not a fan of the melody, sorry. more element is needed imo, keep the percussion the way it is but maybe add rides n stuff as it progresses along with the synths...

IMO:

+ Reduce bass and kick to stop distortion
+ Add elements to synths and percussion
+ Crashes and white noise effects?

Nice attempt.
