Question about copyright.

So here's my question.

If I have a mixed CD and on that CD there is Track x (y remix), do I have the right to own, ie go out and download Track x (y remix), or can I only use the cut version that is on that CD?

Thanks in advance.

Well you can download the mp3s if you want but you still don't get round the ridiculous digital licence that the PPL have brought out as you only own a licence for the version that's on the mix CD and not any of the others.

The whole thing is a farce if you ask me and I have sent them a letter stating so, they still haven't got back to me and I doubt they ever will.

Cheers
Nem

im pretty sure your only entitled to play the cut version. you would have to download the full version off a legal site and pay for it!

Technically yes, but technically no

They dont know their ass from their elbow- even the PRS/PPL employees dont know their own fucking laws and regulations

Whatever- its techincally a breach of the mechanical copyright, but ive never let anything like that stop me before and have argued this point with the tossers many times.
