paul oakenfold - fluoro

a friend just lent me this album... wish i knew about it sooner i'm really enjoying this, especially how he sometimes changes the flow from a fast paced track to a totally chill track.. its always nice to hear older stuff i was never exposed to.

Really interesting music on this album...I love how, as you mentioned, it switches between some acidic goa track right to some really classic melody. Really sets a tone of propriety and structure all while keeping it danceable (erm, the goa tracks, at least ).

6. Man With No Name - Teleport
7. Terrorvision - Conspiracy
8. Man With No Name - Sugar Rush

...

4. Astral Projection - Kabalah
5. Wojciech Kilar - Love Remembered
6. Transa - Prophase

...

10. Legend B - Lost In Love
11. Jamie Myerson - Revisions

always the beginning of CD 2 gets me going - how it switches from the secret garden theme to Johann - New Kicks is just brilliant

al·bum Audio pronunciation of "album" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (lbm)
n.

1. A book with blank pages for the insertion and preservation of collections, as of stamps, photographs, or autographs.
2.
1. A set of musical recordings stored together in jackets under one binding.
2. The holder for such recordings.
3. One or more 12-inch long-playing records in a slipcase.
4. A phonograph record.
5. A recording of different musical pieces.
3. A printed collection of musical compositions, pictures, or literary selections.
4. A tall, handsomely printed book, popular especially in the 19th century, often having profuse illustrations and short, sentimental texts.

...

I thought it was a fairly appropriate term.

What is it, if not an album? Just a 'compilation'? A 'mix'? Is there a new breed of super-evolved musical elitists out there that have developed into vocabulary elitists as well????

Mixing Goa with clasical music, it's amazing, definitely a journey full cd, I love both cd's.
