I'd like nothing more than some DJ/producers on the level of Sasha and Digweed to succeed them, and for the scene to leave their ten-year reign behind. But the fact of the matter is that there just haven't been many such artists to emerge of the same consistency, adaptivity, and longevity of Sasha and Digweed. James Holden is really the only one I can think of, but his DJing isn't comparable. Maybe Zabiela, based on what other people say, but his production ability is lacking, and I was never a fan of his.
The key is solo production. (Or, in Sasha's case, kinda-solo production)
As for the laughable Tiesto comparison, I'll leave that to others.

well technically u could say Tijs is the better of the trance dj's, He's a good dj imo, or was, but obviously took the money root along with his colleagues ferry/avb ...its like a conspiracy , start out underground, then slowly turn into pop acts and release pop albums, this is the JFK conspiracy of edm. If u notice all 3, who are friends, i cant find the pic where theyre standing together holding drinks, lookin like virgins, and they all came out with pop-ish mainstream albums, almost at the same time, is there something to this!!!11 dun dun dun
Well I can't wait for the successors to come along, i dont want Sasha or Digweed to necessarily go away, just like I wouldnt want Oakenfold to go away, they are true icons....but itd be real nice to see what the future of dance is.
